Mount Etna in Italy continues to erupt, affecting flights.
At the beginning of this month, Mount Etna, located on the island of Sicily in Italy, erupted and has continued to do so until now. According to a report released by the Italian National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology on August 12, Mount Etna has produced multiple new vents, with lava flowing downhill, and volcanic ash clouds mainly moving to the south and southwest. Catania Airport on the island suspended all flights, both arrivals and departures, on the same day, with control measures remaining in place until 4 PM local time on the 13th.
