According to reports from the State Grid Ningbo Power Supply Company, on August 12, with the commissioning of the 1,038 kW distributed photovoltaic project at Ningbo Science Middle School in the Qianwan New Area, the installed capacity of distributed photovoltaic systems in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, has surpassed 10 million kW. It is noted that Ningbo's distributed photovoltaic systems are primarily deployed in industrial parks, public buildings, and residential rooftops, with approximately 84% of the installed capacity located in industrial parks. Based on an annual equivalent full-load hours estimation of 1,000 hours, the annual electricity generation from distributed photovoltaics in Ningbo City could reach 10 billion kWh, which would reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 5 million tons each year. In response to the challenges posed by large-scale integration of distributed photovoltaics, including output fluctuations, local consumption, and distribution network operations, the State Grid Ningbo Power Supply Company is enhancing its capabilities in renewable energy forecasting, scheduling, and consumption through means such as grid simulation platforms, distributed photovoltaic operation monitoring applications, and city-level virtual power plants. Additionally, it has launched integrated "Electric Carbon" services and the "Sunshine Manager" digital settlement platform for industrial parks, improving the efficiency of comprehensive energy services in the parks and promoting the local consumption of green electricity from rooftops.
