On the afternoon of August 12, according to media reports, Zhang Qing, the former Chief Purchasing Officer of Sam's Club China, has recently joined Boyu Capital as an operating partner and will participate in the business operations of the joint venture between Boyu and Starbucks China. Reports indicate that Zhang Qing has begun planning the relevant strategies for the transformation of Starbucks' supply chain. Notably, the roasting segment of Starbucks China will be subcontracted to Yum China, while paper cups, straws, and matcha powder will be produced by Mixue Bingcheng. As of the time of publication, Yum China has not yet issued an official response to this news.
