The first double-deck bulk cargo iron-sea intermodal semi-high box train in our country has made its inaugural run.

Today, China's first double-decker bulk cargo iron-sea combined transport semi-high container train set off from the Wanshuiquan South Station in Baotou, Inner Mongolia, heading to Huanghua Port in Hebei. This train set has achieved a "seamless connection" between the semi-high container's double-layer rail transportation and maritime transport without transshipment for the first time. The standard container, originally 2.6 meters high, has been compressed to a 1.7-meter semi-high container, which is compatible with existing port and rail loading and unloading equipment. This enables a full "one-container" transfer throughout the journey, streamlining more than five transshipment processes and reducing unit transportation costs by over a quarter. It has added a new logistics option for bulk cargo iron-sea combined transport that features "no container change, no opening, and transport in one container."
