Ruian Airlines has signed a five-year cooperation agreement with Google Cloud to expand the application of artificial intelligence in aviation operations.
Ryanair announced on Wednesday that it will fully deploy Google's Gemini AI tools and DeepMind models across its operations under a new five-year cloud collaboration agreement, using the technology to assist in crew scheduling and support operational decisions. Ryanair is the largest airline in Europe by passenger numbers. The company stated that it will roll out Alphabet's Google Workspace and Google Cloud services to its 35,000 employees worldwide to support its goal of reaching 300 million passengers by 2034. The agreement with Google Cloud complements its existing Amazon Web Services usage plan and aims to reduce the risk of technological disruptions. This Irish airline indicated that it will develop customized AI agents using Gemini Enterprise to automate certain decisions, optimize crew scheduling, and minimize operational interruptions.
