The Ministry of Water Resources has initiated a Level IV emergency response for flood prevention in Beijing and Tianjin.

According to reports from the Ministry of Water Resources, from the night of August 11 to August 13, there will be local heavy rain to torrential rain in the southwestern part of Beijing and the northern part of Tianjin. The Yongding River, Liuli River, and Xiaoqing River in Beijing, along with the Jiyun River in Tianjin, are expected to experience rising water levels. The risk of mountain flash floods and river floods in small to medium-sized rivers is high in the heavy rain areas. The Ministry of Water Resources has initiated a Level IV flood defense emergency response for Beijing and Tianjin at 10:30 PM on August 11 and has dispatched two work teams to the flood prevention front lines in Beijing and Tianjin to assist and provide guidance.
