Southern Power Grid's electricity load reached a record high this year, surpassing 278 million kilowatts.
According to the Southern Power Grid news, on August 11 at 17:16, the electricity load of the Southern Power Grid exceeded 278 million kilowatts, setting a new historical high for the fifth time this year. On the same day at noon, Guangdong's peak electricity load reached 176 million kilowatts, marking the fourth new high this year. Cities in Guangdong Province, including Yangjiang, Shantou, Jieyang, and Chaozhou, also saw their electricity loads hit historic highs. The Southern Power Grid forecasts that in August, the electricity load will continue to operate at a high level, with the peak load possibly reaching 283 million kilowatts, a 12.9% increase compared to the same period last year.
