Gu Jie, head of Xiaopeng's powertrain: The Xiaopeng G9L is not picky about fuel and can use 92-octane gasoline.
At the global debut and pre-sale launch event of the Xpeng G9L, Gu Jie, head of Xpeng's powertrain division, delivered a speech. He introduced that the Xpeng G9L offers two energy forms: pure electric and super extended-range. It is equipped with a 5C supercharging large battery that increases the CLTC range by 450km with just 9 minutes of charging. The super extended-range variant features all-wheel drive, with a comprehensive range of 1602km and a pure electric range of 435km; the pure electric version has three variants: 755km | 702km | 660km. In terms of energy consumption, the super extended-range can support a distance of 6.8 kilometers per kilowatt-hour, while the pure electric version can reach up to 7.6 kilometers. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration for the super extended-range version with all-wheel drive is 4.95 seconds, while the pure electric version achieves it in 4.45 seconds. He also mentioned that through designs such as ENC active noise cancellation and the active cylinder deactivation of the range extender, a pure electric-like seamless extended-range experience is created. It does not require specific fuel types and can run on 92-octane gasoline, eliminating range anxiety when driving to remote areas.
