This month, the price of DDR5 servers has increased by 15% to 23%.
As the factory prices continued to rise in the third quarter, the prices of server DDR5 increased by 15% to 23% this month, with 32GB/64GB/96GB DDR5 RDIMM now priced at $900/$1590/$2650 respectively. In the spot market for server RDIMM, the trade prices for 32GB D5 range between $1800 and $2100, for 64GB D5 between $3000 and $3200, and for 96GB D5 between $3800 and $4100. The price gap between contract and spot DDR5, especially for 96GB, is showing a trend of narrowing. The supply of factory DDR5 remains in short supply; however, as contract prices rise each quarter, major server clients are becoming more sensitive to the rising cost of memory. Coupled with the implementation of long-term agreements, the supply of D5 for major clients is somewhat secured, and the increase in DDR5 prices is expected to be more moderate.
