Hunan's 12 coal mining enterprises have resumed production in an orderly manner.
According to a message from Hunan Emergency Management's official account, on August 11, with the approval of the People's Government of Chenzhou City, the Xinxing Coal Mine in Yongxing County has resumed production. So far, 12 coal mines in the province have been approved to resume operations after being inspected and deemed qualified by local governments and relevant departments, including natural resources, public security, electricity, emergency management, and mining safety supervision. Additionally, 37 coal mines are actively addressing their issues. The re-opening and resumption of coal mining operations in the province are being carried out effectively and in an orderly manner. Following the gas explosion accident at the "522" coal mine in Qinyuan County, Shanxi Province, coal mining enterprises across Hunan have deeply learned from the lessons of the accident and immediately deployed special safety rectifications for coal mines. This is combined with a comprehensive inspection and rectification of major safety risks and hidden dangers related to coal mine gas, water hazards, and concealed working faces throughout the province. Coal mines that have significant safety issues and fail to meet safety standards will be shut down and rectified in accordance with the law. Moving forward, Hunan Province will continue to deepen the rectification of prominent issues in coal mining, severely crack down on illegal and serious violations such as concealed working faces, data manipulation, and illegal subcontracting, effectively preventing accidents from occurring.
