A set of data released on the 11th by the National Statistical Office of Korea and the Customs Service shows that in the second quarter of this year, exports reached $275.5 billion, marking a year-on-year growth of 57.3%, the highest figure since relevant statistics began. Analysis indicates that the semiconductor industry has significantly driven overall export growth, with a strong pull from large enterprises, whose year-on-year growth rate far exceeds that of medium-sized backbone enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises. The combined share of the top ten exporting companies in the total export volume increased by 17 percentage points year-on-year to 55.3%, setting a new historical record.
