Taihu Lake experienced the first flood of 2026.
Due to the heavy rainfall caused by Typhoon No. 13 "Bai Dolphin," the water level of Taihu Lake has been continuously rising. As of August 11 at 11:25 AM, it has stabilized at the alert water level of 3.80 meters and is expected to continue rising. According to the Ministry of Water Resources' "National Regulations on Flood Numbering of Major Rivers," it has been designated as "Taihu Lake No. 1 Flood of 2026."
