On August 11, Hongguo Short Drama announced measures to combat non-compliant AI dramas: by July 2026, a total of 12,347 works violating platform governance norms had been intercepted and removed from the AI drama category, primarily during the review stage and not yet released for streaming, with some being removed upon retrospective checks. Additionally, in July, the platform intercepted and dealt with 82 AI dramas that featured negative content related to children.
