The 49th escort fleet of the Chinese Navy will be dispatched to the Gulf of Aden and the waters off Somalia to carry out escort missions.

Starting from mid-August, the 49th escort task force, consisting of the Chinese Navy missile destroyer Kunming, the missile frigate Yueyang, and the comprehensive supply ship Luomahu, will depart for the Gulf of Aden and the waters off Somalia to replace the 48th escort task force in carrying out escort missions.
