Liu Xing from Doubao: "The claim that Doubao charges for hotel recommendations is inaccurate; we are still in the early stages of exploration."
On the evening of August 10, Liu Xing, the head of Doubao's public relations, stated that the claim "Doubao's recommended hotels will start charging" is inaccurate. Currently, Doubao's lifestyle service business does not utilize paid promotion, and Doubao does not collect advertising fees for recommended hotels. Merchants cannot influence recommendations or rankings through payment; they only pay a channel service fee after an order is successfully completed. Some platforms adopt a "commission + advertising" charging model, while Doubao mainly charges based on completed transactions at this stage, making direct comparisons difficult. For merchants, what holds more reference value are the actual channel costs and the effects of new orders. Doubao is still in a very early stage of exploration and welcomes everyone to experience and provide feedback.
