On the afternoon of August 10, the Ministry of Natural Resources convened a video conference to discuss the geological disaster prevention and response work in provinces affected by Typhoon "Bohai Dolphin." The meeting assessed the risk trends and deployed further measures for key provinces to strengthen disaster prevention and response efforts. The conference pointed out that Typhoon "Bohai Dolphin" is characterized by an extremely long cycle, a large circulation, abundant moisture, slow movement, and persistent inland disaster-inducing conditions, with the secondary disaster risk it generates far exceeding that of ordinary typhoons. Among these, it is crucial to pay close attention to the geological disasters that may be triggered by sustained heavy rainfall inland, particularly in provinces such as Zhejiang, Anhui, Hubei, Henan, Hebei, Beijing, Tianjin, Shandong, and Liaoning, which will become the main battleground for geological disaster prevention in the near future.
