Microsoft plans to release its next-generation MAIA 300 AI chip in September.

According to two people directly familiar with the plan, Microsoft intends to significantly increase the production of its self-designed next-generation AI chips next year to persuade large cloud customers like Anthropic to use these chips. Despite the slow adoption of the chip designed by Microsoftknown as Maia 200this achievement still exists. One informant stated that Microsoft plans to publicly release its new Maia 300 chip this fall, possibly as soon as next month.
