On August 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM, the Jiangsu Provincial Water Resources Department upgraded the flood red alert for the Southern Jiangsu Canal. In accordance with the "Wuxi City Flood Control and Drought Relief Emergency Plan," after comprehensive assessment by the Municipal Flood Control Command, it was decided to initiate a Level II flood control emergency response in the Xicheng area at 3:00 PM on August 10.
