Japan Display's Chiba factory has received multiple acquisition offers.

Japan Display Inc. announced on Monday that it has received formal acquisition offers from several manufacturing companies and data center operators for its display panel factory located in Chiba Prefecture, east of Tokyo. CEO Katsuaki Nakanishi stated during a financial results conference call that the company is conducting due diligence with potential partners. The CFO indicated that JDI aims to complete the sale of the factory by March next year to improve its financial condition. Whether it is possible to build a new display panel factory in the U.S. will depend on the attitudes of the governments of Japan and the United States.
