Due to the rainfall brought by this year's 13th typhoon "Bai Hai Tun," at 19:05 on August 9th, the water level at the Yaojiang barrage station of the Yongjiang River in Zhejiang Province rose to 1.80 meters. According to the flood numbering regulations for major rivers, this flood is designated as "Yongjiang Flood No. 1 of 2026." The Ministry of Water Resources is closely monitoring the flood situation on the Yongjiang River, enhancing rainfall monitoring, forecasting, and early warning systems. It has proactively initiated a Level III emergency response for flood prevention in Zhejiang Province, urging local authorities to strengthen inspections and defenses of dikes, implement detailed flood prevention measures, and evacuate residents in dangerous areas in advance, all to ensure the safety of people's lives. Currently, a working group from the Ministry of Water Resources is assisting and guiding flood prevention efforts on the front lines in Zhejiang Province.
