Lee Ka-chao mentioned that the Hong Kong SAR government has been committed to enriching the property ladder, and with the development of the Northern Metropolis, more space and improved living environments will be provided. The number of people waiting for public housing has dropped from a peak of 150,000 to about 100,000, a decrease of one-third, reflecting the effectiveness of the Hong Kong SAR government's significant construction of public and transitional housing units.
