The disaster relief and supply assurance actions taken by Chile's CGE company, which is controlled by China's State Grid Corporation, have received praise from the president.

In mid-July, Chile was hit by extreme storm and rain disasters, affecting 10 out of the 16 regions in the country, of which 9 belong to the service area of the CGE company. The disaster led to transportation interruptions in 46 cities nationwide, damaging approximately 40,000 homes. Recently, during a visit to the Atacama region to inspect the reconstruction work following the extreme weather disasters, Chilean President Kast expressed his approval of the Chilean CGE company, which is controlled by the State Grid Corporation of China. He stated that the company gathered repair teams and equipment from all over the country to fully engage in repairs, helping the severely affected areas restore power supply.
