Wuxi, Jiangsu has initiated a level three emergency response for typhoon prevention.

On August 9, the Wuxi Flood Control and Drought Relief Command issued an emergency notice regarding raising the city's emergency response to typhoon Level 3: As of 12 PM on August 9, the city's emergency response to typhoon has been elevated to Level 3, and the following key measures will be implemented: 1. All outdoor construction sites will suspend operations, and port terminals will cease work. 2. Inland river shipping will be suspended, ferry terminals will be closed, and vessels must return to port. 3. Outdoor high-risk amusement projects at tourist attractions will be closed, and scenic spots by lakes and in mountainous areas will be shut down. 4. Restrictions will be placed on the embankments along rivers and lakes, as well as on roads at the top of dikes and various waterside paths and walkways; traffic control will be enforced on lakeside roads. 5. The operational speed of subways in elevated and ground-level sections will be restricted or suspended, bus lines in mountainous and other risk areas will be halted, and traffic control will be implemented along mountain roads. 6. Outdoor group activities and various large events will be canceled, and outdoor teaching activities at schools and training institutions will be suspended. 7. Evacuation of personnel from geological hazard points, dilapidated houses, and unreinforced temporary activity barracks. 8. Any underground space, underpasses, or tunnels that flood will be immediately shut down. During the emergency response period, all relevant units and the general public are advised to closely monitor weather conditions and enhance preventive measures. 1. During the influence of the typhoon, avoid going outdoors as much as possible. 2. Stay away from underground spaces; do not enter if there are signs of flooding. 3. Keep a distance from mountains and bodies of water to prevent losses from flash floods, landslides, mudslides, and failures of waterside facilities. 4. Stay clear of electrical facilities to avoid electrocution. 5. Avoid areas near tall trees, billboards, streetlights, utility poles, dilapidated houses, and construction site barriers. 6. Check and reinforce outdoor doors and windows, air conditioning units, and rooftop facilities; remove clutter from outdoor balconies to prevent injuries from falling objects. 7. When traveling, avoid bridges, underpasses, tunnels, and low-lying water accumulation areas; move to a safe area immediately if the vehicle stalls and never pass through water. 8. Refrain from outdoor dining activities and do not enter old homes and facilities that pose risks.
