Starting tomorrow, the Shanghai Metro will enforce speed limits on all elevated and surface sections across its entire network.

According to the introduction from Shentong Metro Group, due to the impact of this year's No. 13 typhoon "Bai Dolphin," Shanghai Metro will make operational adjustments to ensure the safety of rail transit services: starting from August 9, lines 3 and Pujiang Line will operate at reduced speeds across the entire line; lines 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, and the ground and elevated sections of the regional airport line will also operate at reduced speeds. Meanwhile, line 16 will cancel express trains, with all trains stopping at every station. All other lines on the network will operate normally. Shanghai Metro will closely monitor the changes in the typhoon's path and will dynamically adjust train operations based on actual conditions such as wind speed, rainfall, and the impact on services. In case of emergencies, measures may be taken to suspend operations to ensure passenger safety. Passengers are advised to pay attention to official operational announcements.
