On August 8, the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region Department of Culture and Tourism announced that in order to continuously optimize the tourism environment and provide greater benefits to visitors, it has collaborated with relevant departments to guide all 4A-level and above scenic areas in the region that charge self-driving service fees to optimize and adjust their charging models and standards. Each scenic area is required to formulate an optimization adjustment plan, and after following the prescribed procedures for approval, all charges originally based on "per person" and "per vehicle" will be adjusted to "per vehicle." Depending on the type of vehicle, charges for vehicles with 5 seats or less will not exceed 120 yuan per vehicle, 6 to 7 seats will not exceed 180 yuan per vehicle, 8 to 19 seats will not exceed 300 yuan per vehicle, and those with 20 seats or more will not exceed 600 yuan per vehicle. Due to the need for adjustments and upgrades to the ticketing system, the new charging structure for scenic areas that will change from "per person" to "per vehicle" will take effect no later than 0:00 on August 20. Before the new plan is implemented, there will be a transition period during which the price will not exceed 30 yuan per person. For scenic areas that originally charged by "vehicle," the new plan will take effect no later than 0:00 on August 12, without a transition period.
