On August 7, local time, the members of the United Nations Security Council issued a statement regarding the situation in Yemen, expressing concern over the recent escalation of tensions and emphasizing the need to avoid actions that could undermine the peace process in Yemen or threaten international peace and security. The members condemned the landings of aircraft at Sanaa International Airport and Hodeidah Airport on July 3 and 13 without the permission and approval of the Yemeni government, pointing out that these actions violated international civil aviation rules. The statement also condemned the Houthi armed group for launching missile attacks against Saudi Arabia since July 13, as well as attacks on merchant vessels since July 22.
