UBS: The rising trend of gold is supported, and gold prices are expected to approach $5,000 next year.
UBS Chief Investment Officer Ulrich Hofmann and his team stated: The current rise in gold prices is supported by fundamentals. We expect gold prices to approach $5,000 per ounce in the first half of 2027. Since the end of February, when the U.S. and Israel launched a war against Iran, gold prices faced downward pressure. UBS strategists indicated that there are still risks in the short term; if oil prices rise, or if the market prices in expectations of a more hawkish Federal Reserve monetary policy and increased bond attractiveness, gold prices may come under pressure. However, institutions remain optimistic about the medium to long-term outlook for gold.
