On August 7, the national electricity load reached a record high for the fourth time since the summer began, hitting 1.557 billion kilowatts, an increase of approximately 4.8 million kilowatts compared to the previous record. Since July 29, the national electricity load has been running at a high level, with daily maximum loads exceeding last year's peak of 1.508 billion kilowatts, showing a clear "platform" characteristic in peak loads. This year, the national electricity demand has maintained a strong growth trend. The power grids in six regions, including North China, Northeast China, and East China, have set new historical highs 21 times, while 25 provinces, including Beijing, Liaoning, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Sichuan, and Gansu, have cumulatively reached new highs in electricity load 78 times.
