Norway reports multiple cases of abnormal reindeer deaths in the Arctic.

On the 6th, the Norwegian local government reported the discovery of more than ten unexplained reindeer deaths in the Svalbard archipelago, located within the Arctic Circle. This phenomenon is considered highly unusual in the summer. During their annual counting efforts, local authorities found that 13 reindeer had died recently in two valleys in the Svalbard archipelago, including 11 females and 2 males. This area is approximately 1,000 kilometers from the North Pole. "The death of breeding female reindeer and adult male reindeer in the summer is very rare. For this reason, we hope to closely monitor the situation," the local government reported. The cause of these reindeer deaths is yet to be determined. The local government has urged the public to immediately report any further discoveries of dead reindeer.
