"The white dolphin" approaches, Ningbo and Zhoushan initiate Level II coastal typhoon emergency response.
This year, Typhoon No. 13, "Bai Dolphin," is steadily approaching. At 5 a.m. on August 7, the center of the typhoon was approximately 852 kilometers from Ningbo, with maximum wind speeds reaching level 14, moving westward at a speed of 15 to 20 kilometers per hour. According to the typhoon updates, the maritime departments in Ningbo and Zhoushan have raised the coastal typhoon emergency response to level II as of 8 a.m. on August 7. In response to the impact of the typhoon, the Ningbo maritime department is continuously strengthening patrols in key shipping routes, anchorage areas, and bridge zones. Currently, all 46 water-related projects along the coast have been suspended, construction vessels are orderly taking shelter from the wind, and more than 100 emergency vessels are stationed in the port. The Zhoushan maritime department is enhancing three-dimensional inspections of anchorage and sheltered waters in its jurisdiction using "VTS + drones + patrol vessels."
