MiniMax made a strong debut on the Hong Kong Stock Connect, attracting significant interest from domestic investors with a net purchase of nearly HKD 2.7 billion, ranking it first among active stocks.
Data shows that on the first trading day after being included in the Stock Connect program, MiniMax saw a net buy of nearly HKD 2.7 billion from southbound funds, ranking first among stocks with active trading in terms of net purchases. MiniMax closed up more than 17% on Thursday. Southbound funds also purchased Jiangnan Group and Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable, among others, on Thursday. Overall, southbound funds net sold HKD 1.46 billion worth of Hong Kong stocks on Thursday, with Tencent Holdings, Alibaba, and SMIC among those with the highest net sell amounts.
