On August 7 at 08:00, the National Ocean Forecast Center issued a blue alert for storm surges: due to the influence of cold air, it is expected that from the afternoon of August 7 to the morning of August 8, storm surges of 70 to 130 centimeters will occur in the Bohai Bay and Laizhou Bay. The storm surge warning levels for Tangshan City and Cangzhou City in Hebei Province, as well as for Tianjin and Binzhou City in Shandong Province, are blue. The storm surge alert may be lifted around noon on the 8th, depending on the situation.
