According to Iranian media Fars News, the Iranian parliament is reviewing a draft bill that will strengthen control over transit rules in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf. The main proposals include: prohibiting the passage of vessels associated with the United States, Israel, and other hostile countries; restricting the transportation of military and civilian goods related to Israel; limiting the movement of vessels connected to operations against the "Axis of Resistance"; and refusing to allow navigation for entities that are required to pay compensation to Iran. Penalties for violations could be up to 20% of the value of the goods. This proposal is still under review and has not yet been approved.
