The Congolese government signed an order at the end of June to prohibit the export of copper and cobalt concentrates. In response, a representative from Zijin Mining stated that the products of the companys subsidiary, the Kolwezi copper mine, are copper cathodes and blister copper, while the output of the Kamoa-Kakula copper mine consists of anodes and blister copper, which are not subject to the export ban.
