In a statement, Microsoft noted that the data center is located in the Hyderabad region of southern India and provides cloud services. With a population of over 1.4 billion, India is increasingly attracting the attention of major artificial intelligence companies as a market, talent, and data source. The country is home to millions of engineers skilled in machine learning and data science, and large global tech service companies like Tata Consultancy Services and Infosys have also established a presence there.
