The Nigerian military rescued 308 kidnapped individuals in a single day.

A statement released by the Nigerian Presidential Office on the 5th said that the Nigerian military successfully rescued 308 kidnapped individuals in an operation. This marks the highest number of people rescued in a single day in the country to date. The statement indicated that the operation was carried out based on reliable intelligence, successfully freeing some of those kidnapped between February 3 and 4 of this year in Kwara State and Niger State, among which 163 were from Kwara State and 145 from Niger State.
