Ministry of Water Resources: We will solidly advance the planning and construction of a modern water network and expedite the establishment of a digital twin water conservancy system.

On August 6, Li Guoying, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Minister of Water Resources, presided over a Party Leadership Group meeting to convey and study the spirit of the Central Political Bureau's meeting held on July 30, and to discuss measures for implementation. The meeting emphasized the need to unify thoughts and actions with the Party Central Committee's significant judgments about the current economic situation and the decision-making arrangements for upcoming economic work. It called for adherence to the general principle of seeking progress while maintaining stability, fully and accurately implementing the new development concept, balancing development and security, unwaveringly deepening water conservancy reform, solidly advancing the planning and construction of a modern water network, strengthening long-term and stable support for fundamental water research, accelerating the construction of a digital twin water conservancy system, and effectively managing various tasks such as water security for rural revitalization, the protection and management of the water ecological environment, and water safety production, all to contribute to the sustained, new, optimized, and positive development of the economy and to strive for a good start in the 14th Five-Year Plan.
