Offshore new energy projects first connect to China's electricity market.

Today, Laos' hydropower is being transmitted to China's Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area through the China-Laos 500 kV interconnection project. This power delivery is expected to continue until the end of October, with a total transmission volume of approximately 600 million kilowatt-hours. The related electricity will simultaneously participate in the Southern region's electricity market transactions. This move marks a continuous enhancement of the power interconnectivity capabilities between China and Laos, further improving the cross-regional clean energy optimization and allocation level.
