Since the beginning of the summer, Huaqiangbei in Shenzhen has witnessed a global procurement boom. The summer has always been a peak season for foreign trade in Huaqiangbei, and this year, the sales of AI hardware are exceptionally hot, with nearly every counter having foreign faces inquiring about prices, trying on products, and packaging purchases. According to data from Huaqiangbei streets, nearly 8,000 foreign merchants come to purchase daily this year. By July 2026, the share of AI products in Huaqiangbei's electronic products market is expected to leap from 41% in 2025 to 61%. From January to July 2026, the sales of all AI product categories in Huaqiangbei have increased by over 55% year-on-year, with the sales of AI glasses skyrocketing by 100%, and sales of drones and robots growing by 60% to 70%.
