On August 6, during the 2026 Huawei Data Storage User Elite Forum, Wu Junjie, Vice President of Huawei's Data Storage Product Line, stated in an interview with The Paper that, objectively speaking, the rise in storage chip prices worldwide has had an impact. This year, industry peers have made multiple price adjustments, and the price increases have also affected Huawei's strategy to some extent. Huawei has communicated thoroughly and transparently with its global customers and partners, including when certain impacts will occur. Wu Junjie further added that Huawei's global procurement volume of storage chips is very large, with a stable upstream supply chain that is also relatively diversified.
