A ship was intercepted in Congo due to suspected Ebola cases.
On the 5th, Congo's Minister of Health Kamba said in the capital Kinshasa that the country's relevant departments had intercepted a vessel about 65 kilometers from Kinshasa that day because a passenger who had been on board showed symptoms consistent with Ebola after disembarking and subsequently died. Congo's Minister of Information and government spokesperson Muyaya said at a press conference in Kinshasa that evening that the vessel originated from Ituri province in eastern Congo, and relevant departments had established a security perimeter around the vessel.
