Anhui: Deepen the empowerment of artificial intelligence in the entire automotive industry chain and strengthen the research and development of key core technologies.

On the afternoon of August 5, Wang Qingxian, Governor of Anhui Province, presided over the 110th executive meeting of the provincial government. The meeting emphasized the need to prioritize technology as the forefront and to strategically plan for innovation. It called for accurately grasping the overall requirements, strategic tasks, and key measures for scientific and technological innovation during the 14th Five-Year Plan. Guided by the co-construction of the Shanghai International Science and Technology Innovation Center, efforts should be made to enhance capabilities in innovation sourcing, fundamental research, leading support, and talent aggregation, accelerating the establishment of a major source of scientific and technological innovation with significant influence. The meeting stressed the importance of deeply integrating technological innovation with industrial innovation, constructing an innovative system led by enterprises and coordinated by various entities in industry-university-research integration, and opening pathways for rapid transformation of technology into real productive forces. It highlighted that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, innovation should be strengthened to promote growth, consolidating and expanding the advantages of Anhui's automotive industry and advancing the industry from "scale-leading" to "value-leading." There should be a deepening of artificial intelligence's empowerment of the entire automotive industry chain, enhancement of key core technology breakthroughs, and the promotion of iconic and leading technology products to be the first to achieve mass production. The meeting called for the integration and upgrading of research and development, complete vehicles, components, and the aftermarket, accelerating comprehensive collaboration in research and development, flexible low-carbon manufacturing, and the networked reconstruction of supply chains while reinforcing coordination between complete vehicles and components, shaping the collective brand image of "reliable advanced."
