NVIDIA is urgently seeking AI base station suppliers in China to develop 6G AI-RAN base stations. On August 4th, an exclusive report from a core insider in the telecommunications industry revealed that NVIDIA is accelerating its entry into the telecom operator market and is looking for base station manufacturer partners in China to develop 6G base stations that meet overseas market requirements. The insider described NVIDIA's search as looking for the "next Zhongji Xuchuang" in edge computing power, as NVIDIA believes that computing power needs to transition from data centers to a vast number of AI terminals and users, ultimately relying on the wireless transmission from base stations. The insider further stated that the pace of this project is "relatively urgent," with hopes of entering trial networks by 2027 or 2028. According to the report, Shenzhen Jiaxian Communication is one of the base station partners that NVIDIA is establishing. An insider from the company confirmed to the reporter that NVIDIA has been in contact with them since 2025, and currently the two sides are collaborating to develop 6G AI-RAN base stations based on NVIDIA's CUDA ecosystem, with their cooperation ongoing for more than six months.
