On July 23, the joint cybersecurity anti-terrorism exercise "Tianshan-2026" organized by the relevant authorities of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states was held in Urumqi, Xinjiang. Each member state sent a delegation to participate, and the Executive Committee of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure provided relevant assistance for the exercise. This exercise focused on the new characteristics of the globalization, networking, and intelligence of current terrorist activities, setting up real combat scenarios against the "three forces" that employ the internet for destructive activities. It simulated situations in which an international terrorist organization uses the internet to disseminate ideologies of terrorism, separatism, and extremism, as well as to recruit and plan terrorist attacks within the territories of SCO member states. The participating parties coordinated closely, quickly identifying network risks and targeting suspects, providing strong support for offline responses and arrests.
