The country is phasing out the qualification of tiered utilization enterprises, and the power battery recycling industry is undergoing a structural reshuffle.

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released a notice on the "Abolition and Revision of Relevant Policy Standards for the 'Tiered Utilization' of Used Power Batteries for New Energy Vehicles and the Regulation of Related Industry Activities," which abolishes the relevant provisions of "tiered utilization." The management of the public announcement for "tiered utilization" enterprises will no longer be conducted, and the 100 previously announced "tiered utilization" enterprises, including leading companies such as BYD, Hive Energy, and Guoxuan High-Tech, will be removed from the industry standards list. This policy adjustment marks the end of the special regulatory model for tiered utilization, and the industry is set to undergo a comprehensive structural reshuffle.
