Institution: Demand for mobile energy storage has surged, with an expected year-on-year increase in shipments of over 80% by 2026.

On August 5, the Gao Gong Industry Research Institute announced that, according to GGII's incomplete statistics, as of August 2026, the scale of mobile energy storage orders publicly disclosed by Chinese manufacturers has reached 6GWh. Among these, the mobile energy storage power service project initiated by Sinopec in 2026 is currently the largest centralized procurement in the domestic mobile energy storage field, with a scale of 982MWh. In terms of delivery, Yuneng Mofang completed the delivery of a 170MWh mobile energy storage project in May of this year, reflecting that the demand for mobile energy storage is gradually shifting from project reserves to actual implementation. According to GGII's research forecasts, China's mobile energy storage shipment volume will be 1.9GWh in 2025, and will reach 3.5GWh in 2026, representing a year-on-year growth of over 80%. It is estimated that by 2030, China's mobile energy storage shipment volume will increase to 15GWh, maintaining an approximate compound growth rate of 40% from 2026 to 2030.
