According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the "Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index" on August 5 is 113.49, an increase of 0.07 points from yesterday. The wholesale price index for "basket products" is 113.63, an increase of 0.09 points from yesterday. As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at national agricultural product wholesale markets is 15.74 yuan/kg, a decrease of 0.2% from yesterday; beef is 67.41 yuan/kg, unchanged from yesterday; lamb is 64.39 yuan/kg, a decrease of 0.5% from yesterday; eggs are 9.86 yuan/kg, an increase of 0.2% from yesterday; and plain chickens are 17.34 yuan/kg, an increase of 0.9% from yesterday. The average price of 28 key monitored vegetables is 4.40 yuan/kg, a decrease of 0.7% from yesterday; the average price of 6 key monitored fruits is 6.94 yuan/kg, an increase of 0.6% from yesterday. The price of crucian carp is 20.22 yuan/kg, a decrease of 1.0%; carp is 14.52 yuan/kg, a decrease of 0.5%; white catfish is 10.23 yuan/kg, an increase of 2.3%; and large hairtail is 41.58 yuan/kg, a decrease of 5.2%. Today, among the 46 varieties of fresh agricultural products monitored in domestic wholesale markets, the top five increases in price compared to yesterday are giant peak grapes, white catfish, spinach, flower-headed fish, and cucumber, with increases of 2.4%, 2.3%, 1.9%, 1.5%, and 1.3%, respectively; the top five decreases in price are large hairtail, winter melon, celery, green pepper, and scallion, with decreases of 5.2%, 2.7%, 2.3%, 2.2%, and 1.9%, respectively.
