A person in charge of the Accounting Department of the Ministry of Finance answered reporters' questions regarding the revision and issuance of "Enterprise Accounting Standard No. 30 - Financial Statement Presentation." This revision focuses on optimizing the presentation and disclosure of financial statements and does not involve adjustments to accounting recognition and measurement requirements. The core revisions include optimizing the structure of the income statement. The current profits and losses in the income statement are divided into five categories: operating, investing, financing, income tax expenses, and discontinued operations. Additionally, new total items such as "Operating Profit," "Operating and Investing Profit," and "Sustainable Operating Profit" have been added to help clearly and effectively differentiate the sources of corporate profit, analyze financial performance, and enhance the usefulness and structure of accounting information. For enterprises engaged in specific main business activities, relevant profits and losses classified as investing or financing in general enterprises must be included in the operating category to fully reflect the characteristics of their main business.
