According to Axios, two regional sources and one U.S. official have stated that the U.S., Iran, and Oman are nearing a temporary agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, which the U.S. plans to announce on Wednesday. This preliminary agreement will address several of Iran's demands regarding traffic control in the Strait of Hormuzan authority that Iran did not possess prior to the war. According to the two regional sources, the agreement under discussion will establish a temporary arrangement in the Strait of Hormuz for 60 days, with the possibility of an extension.
