The Minnesota Department of Health is investigating an outbreak of Jalisco Salmonella associated with a Mexican-style fast food restaurant, suspecting that the source of infection is Mexican chili peppers. It has been confirmed that this outbreak has resulted in 110 cases of Jalisco Salmonella infections in the state. Even though some of the infection cases emerged weeks ago, the number of confirmed Jalisco Salmonella cases is expected to continue to rise.
